Promoting Digital Literacy Through English Proficiency

                    Digital literacy is the set of attitudes, understanding and skills to handle and communicate information and knowledge effectively, in a variety of media and formats. It is plainly an essential life skill.
                    Modern technology can lead us now in a better life. Everything can be done faster, lesser burden and cheaper everything with the help of computers. Computers are just as common as pen and paper for writing, especially among us youth. For many applications - especially communicating- computers are preferred over pen, paper, and typewriters because of their ability to duplicate and retain information and ease of editing. Telephones and cellphones help us to communicate to our loved ones in other countries. Connecting to the internet can also let us see their faces and talk to them.Now with the help of these technologies, we can improve our English Proficiency. Although students in the past have focused on developing literacy skills such as reading, writing, and numeracy, we, the 21st-century students must develop multiple literacies that will allow us to respond to changing ideas, attitudes, and technologies as our communities and the world evolve.
                    English Proficiency improves our Digital Literacy and vice versa. But we should always remember that technology should always and only be use in a good way for us not to harm other people.

My Teacher My Hero

Dear ma’am/sir,

In some people, they have heroes. For them heroes are those super heroes but for us super heroes really doesn’t exist. For us, our heroes are just an ordinary people but have important role in our life, not just in our life but in all students’ life.  There are heroes in the past generation. But are there any heroes in our generation?

Of course, there are heroes in our generation. They are ordinary people but very important. We respect them. They gave all their attention to us, but there are some people who don’t saw their efforts, attention, love and care for them. Teaching is a hard profession but they’re doing it for us, for our own good. And we’re very proud that our hero is no other than our TEACHERS.

You love us as your own child. You act as our second mother and father.  You share your knowledge, for us to be successful someday. You gave us challenges, to be courage in every aspect and enhance our skills . You told us how bitter and sweet the world is. You gave us strength to stand up and try again. You support us, to pursue our dreams.You advices us to every problem we face. You inspire us. You taught us how to live our life to the fullest and not to waste every second.

Thank you our dear teachers…We hope this letters can touch your heart as an ordinary person, a TEACHER and especially our HERO. We hope you will never change because those attitudes of yours touch our heart and inspire us to pursue our dreams. These words aren’t enough to express how thankful, grateful and lucky we are to be your students. Ma’am/Sir…. We salute you…

My Modern Day Hero!

                        Hero, some people thinks that Heroes are powerful. They can fly, they can save lives, and even save the world. That is just only a fantasy.

                        My heroes are my parents, sisters, and my brothers or in other words, My Family. They guide me in my life, and they are my inspirations. My older brother is a successful teacher, he was a cum laude. Oh! I wish I would be like him. So until this time, i'm following his steps and having a reason to stand on my own.

                        In real life, heroes are normal humans, they cannot fly and they don't have extraordinary powers. Heroes are everywhere, just for example a policeman, soldiers, fireman, doctors and family.
                   

State of the Nation Address of President Benigno Simeon Cojuanco Aquino III

       The second state of the Nation Address or "SONA" of our beloved Philippine President  Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino or in politics name "Pinoy" is all about "change" and we will be more expecting some changes also by the presence of our New Ombudsman retired Justice Conchita Carpio Morales. He also acknowledge the "PAGASA" for Telecasting Appropriate details about our weather condition. But some of our Menoria noticed that the  President did not discuss about our Economic Status.

ISULONG ANG BREASTFEEDING-TAMA,SAPAT AT EKSLUSIBO

                      Breastfeeding should be implemented to every mother and to those who will become a future mother so we must educate them well and tell the important things and advantages of breastfeeding. They should know that breast milk content has anti-bodies that defense the baby from sickness especially the first drop of milk from the mother which we called "colostrum", this must be given to the baby, Breast milk is available at anytime, when the baby want and its in the right temperature. This is priceless and it promotes closer relationship between the mother and the baby.
                       A nourish mother must intake a nutritious food  so that the production of breast milk content is proper nourishment to be given to the baby.

Salary of Our Life Saviour

Dear President,
          
       I hope you will help us to give some solutions involving to the salary of nurses who are working here in our country.
       I'm  a high school student and we expect some changes to our country. As a Filipino youth, I want to voice out some problems of nurses. Yesterday, I watched some news and the topics are about the nurses who are taking abroad. Yes, some nurses are taking now in abroad and the main reason is a small amount of salary here in the Philippines. According to some Filipino nurses wished to add more in their salary.
        And now I'm requesting to give a chance and grant their wishes since you are only the one and have a power to change.
        I'm very thankful to have a chance creating a letter to our President, so i hope you can read this small letter. 
        
        More power to you Mr. President and have enough strength to face some problems.
